YESSSSHHHH SHONS!!! Yeah,that’s right, my Skull Incense Burners are going to be FOR SALE!!! Ye Fucking Ha!
Earlier this year I made a couple of one off clay skull incense burners as Birthday presents. I posted a few pictures on Facebook (see here) and complained about how long they took to sculpt. I swore I’d NEVER EVER be making more of them again!
Well, it turns out people went CRAZY for these bad boys (they are pretty great) and I got shit loads of requests.
Unfortunately, I had to turn these down, due to the whole too much time to make/not enough money issue that designers face when in the handmade craft business (this can also be referred to as a ‘Ball Ache’).
But… being the type of gal who doesn’t like to say no to dolla dolla, this got me thinking on how I could capitalise on my designs.
Well, fortunately for me I didn’t have to think very hard (fuck you before you even make a comment here), I work near the fabulous Sofie, from the prop company Die Mortal. Turns out she can mould shit really well. Girls got skills!
Sofie’s now made up some amazing moulds for me and I can now cast my skulls in resin!
